Manuel Coronado, 46 x 55 cm, oil on canvas. Work of the abstract stage of the artist. Violet tones predominate, with shades of red, blue and white. It is a clear example of the most psychedelic stage of the painter, in which he does not abandon the bright colors, whose use is a constant throughout his career.
The work of Manuel Coronado has many and very different stages to take into consideration. In this case, the work is a clear example of its production after its stage in Ibiza, moment in which it delves into the psychedelic imaginary of the hand of the painter Esteban Sanz, as well as the abstraction and avant-garde that later will try to introduce in the island. This painting of 1988 presents information of reata, in which we can see "Untitled", the measurements of the canvas, the material and the date, as well as the number 29, which could be a numeration made by the artist. Everything written is presented in reverse of the original orientation of the painting (as can be seen in the photos, which present one with the original orientation and another where the information can be read). It is in a defective state of conservation due to the passage of time and the delicacy of the material, so we recommend to restore it. It presents a bad framing, with a frame of silver color, reason why a new frame with glass is recommended to protect the work.
